Ok so I know my blog is boring. But this is a diary for me. Others are invited to read if they like. I dont even spend this much time here. So I am just letting everyone know I am setting up three more blogs. How will I keep up with them , you ask? I am going to be writing about things I love to do everyday especially on the PC. I will have a weight loss blog, a couponing blog, and a blog showing the progress of my two new businesses. I will post links from here to my new blogs. Each day I will make it a priority to do at least two posts a day. I may even do abother gossip blog I dunno gotta see how I feel about that one..LOL.

Microfiber???

Hey, if you’ve ever wondered about microfiber, boy, do I have a story for you. I have alot of children and am used to having leather because spills sometimes wipe off easily. We recently purchased new furniture and let me tell you I shop for a bargain. About two months ago, I was looking for a brown leather sectional that could seat my large eight person family as well as guests. Well it was hard to find without going over our $2000 budget. Anyway I wanted to get the living room out the way and then work on my bedroom. I planned to do my bedroom in a seafoam green, cream, tan and brown. Then to my surprise I changed my mind because I had found the perfect Seafoam green microfiber sectional. I said to myself ,”I really wanted this in my bedroom”, followed with “this is too light for the children”. When I saw the price I was sold! This large sectional with ottoman was $850, this means I could purchase something else as well because I was way under buget. The sectional had a small snag and a piece of the wood was chipped at the bottom so I talked them down to $700. The best part was when we first walked in the store I saw one of those mechanical TV stands where the TV pops out it was fabulous. I hugged this thing tight as many people were looking at it, I even had the sales rep put a ticket on it so none else could purchase it. Well now I had the money to buy it. It retailed over $4000 I got it for $800 another bargain because I talked them down $50. All I can say is my Living room is georgeous or at least it was.

Two nights ago while my daughter and I were doing some free shopping at Dots(with our $10 off coupon) my husband was watching the little ones. He claimed my 2 year old was asleep so he went and got on the computer. Then I recieved the call, I wasnt even gone an hour. It seems my son marked up the whole sofa with a pen. Sure enough I came home fuming mad at my husband. When I saw my sofa I was in tears.

Later that night I got out some rubbing alcohal to attempt to clean the sofa, because water leaves water spots. I preceded to clean it and all the ink came out. I couldnt believe it, I didnt even have to scrub hard. The only problem was it still left those nasty water marks. I decided to leave it alone. Fortunately, I was thinking because I bought my furniture with a insurance called master cleanerprotection plan. They will clean your furniture for 5 yars and if the stain doesnt come out they will replace the furniture. I have decided to let them have a try at it because I really dont want a sofa covered in water spots. I will take some before and after pictures let let you all see how it worked out.

But one thing I will say the ink never came off that leather sofa. I give the Microfiber an 8 out of 10. This score may go up after Master cleaner comes out!

Just can’t seem to get with the program!

Ok so once again I have gottenoff track. But there is so much going on just trying to hold it all together. I cant belience I wavent posted anything since December….wow! Anyway I have alot of things going on that I am very excited about.

I am still doing my bath products business as well as my stationary business. I plan to do it legit I am going to be registering them with the state and I am so excited about that. Rather than having a hobby and selling my crafts I am turning this into a real business. Its unfortunate that I do so many things that I dont follow throught with. I will be finishing this process. I may decide to start a blog for my body products sort of like a diary of my journey. I am also registering both my companies with etsy.com,which will be awesome.

I have also gotten back into couponing. It is so cool because I have had some really amazing opportunities. So I am thinking about blogging about that too. I now have this huge coupon binder where I save all my junk in. Once again, Disorganized! But it still works for me. I will add video or pictures so you can see. I will post these things from my other blogs here to show my progress in organizing these things.

I am so excited because I really want to be a more organized person and share it with everyone. Maybe 5 years down the road it will be an incredible journey!

The Cleanup Woman

Ok so I normally go to the local fleamarket where we have our store with my husband but not today. I’m staying home to do what, to clean.

With my busy schedule homeschooling child care I dont have much time to clean the most precious of all spaces. My sanctuary, my room. Can you believe that I actually took a day off to clean. But the great thing about this is the next time I decide to take a day off i’ll have a clean sanctuary to relax in.

Old Habits Die Hard

I am going to try to break a few of these bad habits I have. I read another blog about 30 days to a new habit. This is exactly what I plan to do. My first bad habit to break are my sleeping habits. I will wake for the day at about 7am, nap at about 2pm, and go to bed by 10pm. I will work to get my children on this schedule so I am not so tired throughout the day. Wish me well I will be starting Monday.

Still Disorganized

It’ s so obvious that it is frightening. I am still disorganized. I can’t even seem to be organized enough to keep up with this blog.

Well let’s talk about it. My husband and I have started a new business. A friend of mine has a business with scented shea butter, soaps, and aromatherapy crystals. We jumped in and are purchasing his products wholesale and then going to the flea market every Saturday. We make more that $200 every Saturday…wow!

What’s funny is that I am a pretty crafty person so I have always wanted to start my own body care line. I have books supplies and everything I just never got started. So I decided me and the friend should partner up in this business, however, he’s not too open for suggestions so I don’t think a partnership will work well.

I want to get this business started I have already began making bath scrubs and they are a huge hit. I would like to make the other products as well without stepping on his toes. I am just trying to find a creative way of expanding myself and going further. I will let you know what I come up with.

What happened to my stationary business…its kinda on hold . I want to do both and I will I just need all the supplies. Stay tuned for updates.

A lil’ off course

OK, so once again my plan got off course. Last night when I came in I was all set to put up my new post. Well, my husband decided it was a priority for him to get on and check out his e-mail. So I waited and when he was done I sat to the computer and……..nothing. The computer was frozen, so I rebooted it. Windows would not start, my computer had crashed. Now I just paid $150 bucks back in March to repair my computer. When I got it back it was slow as a snail didn’t have much memory and I lost all of my files including many precious pictures of my children. Now you think I would have learned my lesson by now but uh-unh. I still failed to back up my important files and my entire SYSTEM was missing or corrupted. This time I called Aunt Mary the computer tech(who I somehow forgot to call the first time), and she walked me through the troubleshooting process over the phone. However, I lost all my data once again. This time I backed up all of my pictures but didn’t back up my other documents. So I still lost out. I have just begun my own business and had some work for two of my clients that was not backed up I will need to redo that all over again. One project is due immediately, so I am in a bind.

I have decided to research ways of protecting your files. With my busy life I don’t want to go through the hassle of having to put in a CD to save everything. I was aware of the USB flash drive which my aunt suggested. Others might know them as a jump drive or a thumb drive they are a great backup system for all your files and can range from 1-32GB’s. The price for these range from about $7 to $100 but are generally inexpensive. Try WAL-MART they’re great they always have low-low prices (I should be getting paid for that plug), their cheapest is about $8 so give that a try.

Who knows I am probably the only idiot who doesn’t have one, but hey, you never know. My other option she gave me was to get an external hard drive but this is a bit more expensive. They range from about $80 and up to about $300 depending on the device specifications.

This is one of my first steps in being more organized and responsible. As I learn of new ideas I will post them here. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to post them here.

Hello, Blogging world!

Well, I guess its about time for me to begin blogging. I have always wanted to put my thoughts down in a journal but could never get motivated to it. Well, blogging world…here I am! I started this blog because I am on a journey for self-improvement. One of my biggest foes is that I have been bit by the disorganized bug. I am a Virgo by nature and have always been very organized and meticulous about everything I do. Now, that I have 6 children (3 biological, 1 adopted, and 2 by marriage) it’s no longer 2nd nature.

I am a home schooler so my children are always with me well at least four of them the other two live in Maryland. My day to day events are always chaotic, unorganized, and over the top. Its always hard to get a handle on things. I used to be a single parent of one and while that should have been hard it was much easier than it is now with a husband +three.

So in my disorganized life I will be discovering ways to bring about order. I will be passing on all my findings to my readers. I will discuss everything from grocery shopping to homeschooling suggestions to making time for your soulmate.

I have goals I am setting for myself on the journey to organization and self-improvement. You will see my progress and be able to share your progress as well.

In future posts I will share more aspects of my story and show you of the things I am doing to bring about change. I would welcome anyone’s help and suggestion’s.
